Smile Spanked a STI the other night.

Was playing around with a Blue WRX STI on Saturday night. Wasn't very impressed to say the least. We left a stop sign, he gassed it, I did right after blew by him like he was standing still while going sideways on the 1-2 shift. Talked to him up the road. He was pretty impressed that a truck could do something like that. I dunno, it was fun. Really got my heart pumping fast so I figured I would share it with you guys. -Mat-

They are faster than 14.0 stock. You just weren't impressed because of your KB

The STI version stock for stock can take a L easily with a decent driver....

Low thirteens stock I think not I was at the track two weeks ago and there were three Sti's there I assume they were stock because all three ran 13.6 every time. I too was not all that impressed although they will do 13.6 in the rain as well so try racing one in the rain good luck!

stock for stock

stock for stock, an STi and an 03 L should be a pretty good match. Mod either of them and you get into a $$ war. The STi is also new enough that it's ECU hasnt been cracked so the options for 'chipping' it are pretty limited at this point. It's pretty much up to the driver. The STi's 6-speed can be kind of hard to get right, esp, the 4-5 shift but you dont have the traction problems a modded L has.

And then there's the cornering capabilities. The STi wasnt really conceived as a bracket racer

So I take it you can't use a U-tech(sp?) on a STI then>??? One of my buddies has a White WRX with gold wheels with an aluminum lip. Nicest WRX I have ever seen. I really enjoy seeing it. That is a lot coming from me. I am not a big fan since EVERYONE basically has them nowadays. -Mat-

U-tech is not yet available for the STI. They are still working on it. The STI has a 2.5 liter motor while the 2.0 is in the WRX.
