Well; I did that. From what I read it says a group 75, but that is only in a red top. I want a yellow top, so what group is that

I went to Autozone and bought my Optima last week. They looked up the part number for both the red and the yellow ones.
I got the red to match my truck

when i bought mine, i just got the d34/78 model, there is pretty much two 12 volt models, the d34 and the d34/78. i think the only difference is the d34 has the posts on top, and the d34/78 has both top and side posts. i got mine form interstate batteries, you will probably just need to figure out a way to mount it in the battery tray. do a search, i have seen a few different aluminum battery trays from members here to hold optimas. make sure to get a yellow top if you are running any amplifiers for a stereo, cause it will void the warranty if you use a red top

My red top came with adapters to bolt down directly into the factory tray.

I plan on gettng a billet hold down later on when I start adding goodies to brighten up the engine bay!
