Look at how tall that front end is?
I'm not so crazy about the metal screen in EVERY opening.

It's like driving a damn brick wall down the expressway.

THe Lightning is more areodynamic.

At least the L looks good

You will not lose. Even when you just had a chip and filter, I don't think you'd lose. Now you've got more than just a chip and filter don't ya?

The image is clearly squished.. The perspective is way off

looks like the butt's up a little high, kinda like the 03's. nothing a set of shackles can't fix

not a big fan of the exhaust, and it looks like the whole truck it a bit high. I'm guessing with such huge wheels lowering it wouldn't be too feasible.

definately a sweet truck though, just don't consider it too much competition for the L.... about the same price, but I'm sure alot harder to handle and alot more to mod. heavy as crap too

for the price tag, I'm sure we won't see many/any around. I know in waco I'm sure to see 0, but maybe when I'm home in houston I might see one or two on rare occassions at a car show or something. something tells me I will see them at the track about as often as I see a viper/porsche......never

Well, I don't want one; the battery is on the 'wrong' side of the engine bay...........

I dont think we'll see that many of them around either. How many are they making? I see a Viper I'd say once every 2 weeks here and there are always a few at the track when I go. So I really hope to see at least one Ram SRT-10 at the track after they come out. Like someone said above, I dont see them being much of a threat to a Lightning. Stock these L's go 13.4-13.8 I don't see the srt10 going much faster than that. I hope I'm wrong. I just think you should get a lot more for your money than what they are getting.

Why do you hope you are wrong? People that buy a vehicle just because of the brand should get ripped off. Just like a lot of the fools who bought the silverado SS thinking it would spank a Gen II Lightning.

yeah I see your point. I just wished it ran closer to 12's cause I like the compitition. Like I said b4 if it runs what the stock Lightning runs, that's no fun for a lot of us on here...
thanks, Shane

Everybody, including myself, has bashed the ever loving crap out of the SS for its futile attempt at jumping into the ranks of the supertruck class. I honestly am excited that at least Dodge had the ***** to ante up and produce something that will turn some heads.

this option would be interesting too.....

Actually I believe that if they supercharged a new Hemi,They would have been alot smarter for a few reasons. The truck would be a few hundred pounds lighter
The truck would be faster
The truck would be alot more mod friendly
It would also be more upgradeable for DODGE them selves if they wanted to up the power a little every year.We all know vipers are not really tunable.

Even more imprtantly for dodge.WARRANTY issues.Do you know much money they would save per serious warranty claim?? ALOT!!

They could save Money on MSRP making the buyer margin alot better also, therefore selling MORE trucks.

They are tring to duplicate a 60s muscle car in the 2004 that everybody wants but nobody can afford. RETARDS>...........

I would fear that charged hemi truck alot more than a viper truck!!

Power comes second hand after the status. It's a bragging right to have a Viper engine. It allows a well-to-do person, still unable to afford a 80K Viper, to know that for half the cost he can have the power of one, and the name of one. That alone is going to sell the truck to a greater audience.

The viper engine is the way to go. You get more hp with less issues. The new more refined Viper V10 won't break rods, blow plugs, etc. If you want even more HP, you can still slap on a blower. Just my opinion.

The only problem with just slapping on a blower is that nobody makes one. If, i say if, they did who could afford one.

I love the Dodge SRT 10. I might just walk across the street eventually.
