Weird blower noise?

I've noticed on my truck that when I'm under boost, my blower whine is not "smooth." It almost seems like it's gurgling or sputtering. It's just not constant. The only mod is an open element air filter. FWIW, I think I started hearing this noise after I had a leaky head gasket replaced. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be?

Thanks,
Edward

Well, I went ahead and repacked the idler pulley bearings; but no change. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone?

Sounds to me like the belt might be slipping. Maybe the guy who removed/replaced the belt had grease on his hands.
Worth looking into.
Just an opinion, don't use belt dressing to get it to hook-up again, just replace it and while you've got it off use brake parts cleaner to clean the pullies.
Good luck.

It's currently got a 66.5" Gatorback on there now; but I'll take it off and clean the pulleys real well. I'll see if I can grab sound clip. Thanks for the idea.

Mine started making the same noise when I put on the Kenne Bell. I just assumed it had something to do with the head work or the Crower cams. Good question.
