Got my Dyno # with the Works 112!!!
Got my Dyno # with the Works 112!!!
Well it pays to have patience when an extensive modification like having a new blower being put on. It takes time to tune a modded out Lightning to make it right. I'm tired of all the back stabbing from other people (you know who you are), they shouldn't jump the gun on how a truck runs until they have the given the proper time to make it right.
I want to thank Tim, Paul and Keith at Razors Edge Motorsports for all the time they have spent on my truck. We encountered issues on the truck that gave us false signals on the tune.
1- My intercooler pump was not working at full volume and capacity
2- My fuel pumps were not pumping full volume
3- My injectors were not flowing even
After full diagonosis and resolving all the issues with the truck, the numbers speak for themselves.
Mustang Dyno 423.6/556.7 Dynojet 478.7/629
This is an increase of (mustang) 38/70, Dynojet 43/79 just with the 112. We haven't even started with a race program for 100 octane and advancing some more timing. This an everyday daily driver program. I know once Paul and Keith get going on this it's going to be great.

Glad to see the great #'s. Very good looking curve also. The numbers are even better than I expected running only 14lbs. of boost. I think when you get it up to 16-17 lbs. you will really be flying. Let's get to the track and lay some smack down!

Those are awesome numbers! Congrats and I am very glad REM was able to uncover your L's challenges - I know first hand how patience pays off!
Can't wait to see some track times!

What's good is that alot of smack was being thrown around about REM, so that is a dead issue now. I'll be sitting down with Paul & Tim about a built motor. Nothing fancy, just rods, balancing mild porting and cams. I figure I can put an 8# lower on and get solid 16-17# of boost then. I'd like to see 485/620 on the mustang dyno with that combo. Not trying to "ricer math" but, I'm the neighborhood of 425/570 on the mustang dyno. Cams 20 HP+/-, more boost 15 HP+/-, Heads 20HP +/-, Strip tune 10 +/- HP.
My goal is street 475/600, race 485/620 add 13% for Dynojet numbers and this will be sweet daily driver.

If you changed these three things AND added the 112 at the same time, hasn't the baseline changed?
Great numbers man! Did you actually have the truck on a Mustang Dyno and a Dynojet or are you using a correction factor>??? Regardless, good numbers! Any plans for the track in the near future>??? She should haul azz! -Mat-

Everytime we did a dyno pull it would pull great till the higher RPM's. The first pull would show 407/510, the next pull it would go to 400/504 and start going down. The first pull still had the cool intercooler coolant, then it would heat up at the higher RPM's. The intercooler fluid wasn't moving. The stock fuel pumps couldn't flow the volume at the high RPM's so that contributed for the lean condition and not making the power. The injectors were within reason but we cleaned them out just to be 100%. My truck before ran very strong, so I guess the fule pumps were sufficient for the application. The intercooler pump did work at the time, I guess it decided to take a ***** at the wrong time!!
I'm happy now, I'm going to hit the track soon and see how she runs. I know the Hotckis suspension will limit my 60' but the trucks HP & TQ will carry the truck in the 1/4

Tonight is slicks and race cars. So If weather permits I'll be at Moroso in West Palm Beach to see how my truck runs with the 112. This will give a great base for Paul at REM for a ture comparison on what gains I got. Dyno numbers are great but ET's are what counts.
BTW Dyno Queens, it doesn't matter if you have a Lightning with 600 Hp. If you never take it to the track to show ET's it don't mean *****. I hope to see some L's tonight.
I figure with my 425/560 +/- (Mustang Dyno), I'll get 12.2 @ 113. The Hotchkis suspension his going to hurt my 60, but MPH shows the HP.
BTW for all you Northern guys, Moroso WPB is about .2 off from anywhere. The track sucks and the Florida weather doesn't help either.
Stay tuned!!!
