I have driven a couple of days with the 26psi, but that is just too much heat for the KB in my opinion. It works great if you want to increase the amount of timing and run 93 octane. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how much I need to spray and what percentage of alcohol I need to use use. Alcohol will leave a residue on the plugs which is clear and shiney. I think if too much alcohol is used the plugs may need to be changed more often...
You will save mucho money on race gas if you get any type of alcohol setup.
I love this system from SMC.

With the correct amount of alcohol, the plugs should look normal. Most of the alcohol will evaporate by the time it hits the cylinders anyway. Alcohol evaporates at a low temperature...lower than the temperatures the blower is producing.

Take a look at the SMC kit.
Solenoid so mix isn't drawn into intact at cruise.
metal lines.
controller to adjust pump speed, boost turn on point, l.e.d. indicators to tell when system is on, when system is low, and when system is pumping.

I'm sure any kit will work and they are easy to make something which will work...

What is specific about it that it is made just for the Lightning? All the system is, is a reservoir (holding tank), controller, pump, injection lines, and a nozzle.

Uses a factory Lightning washer resevoir with built in float and switch and an indicator lamp that tells you when fluid is low.

I was talking to one of the tuners (guess I shouldn't post his name without the ok) about water/alcohol injection, and he said he was going to work on a kit for our trucks over the winter. It would be nice to have one with all considerations (chip tune, etc) included. If I find out more, I will post.

Thanks for the info. I am guessing that this means the tune has to be set up for the water/alcohol injection.

Keep us updated on what you learn.
