Talking First dyno run....400/500 club

I just got back from making my first dyno run on my 03.
407.4 hp
510.2 tq.
A/F 12.0 from 3000 rpm to redline with a little bump to 12.4 from 4100 rpm to 4700 rpm.

Needless to say I'm happy with these numbers.
I will post pics as soon as I get a chance.

What are your mods?

Isn't there a correction for Mustang dyno?
I will prob. use a Mustang because it's local and it's the only place with wideband A/F sensor around...

I was just curious. I am trying to get in that club with my 03 and was wondering if a chip, 6# pulley, modded airbox and FTVB would get me there or not....

Fractaldragon,
you should be in the 400/500 wiht those mods. My 03 with 4# lower chip (on daily tune), filter, and muffler (for sound) did 392 RWHP on a 90 degree day with 85% humidity. I don't know what the torque was (their RPM pickup was broken so no torque only power). I got a 6# lower to put on now and some cool (down right cold) air in chicago with a better tune in the chip. Hopefully find out what it'll do next week.

Tom

I'm not sure (since I don't run mods on my truck) but I think a chip, modified stock air box, e-fan, full exhaust including long tube headers, and four lbs. of extra boost should do it no problem Of course I could be wrong since I know nothing about mods. This would just be a guess.

Hopefully I can do it with 2 more lbs of boost minus the e-fan and exhaust. But then again that is only speculation from the "modless" ones like Jerry and I....

IS THERE ANYONE HERE RUNNING MODS? I wish I was lucky enough to get one of those 11-12 sec trucks off the lot

I lied. I have mods. A bed rug and bed cover. Pan-hard bar, anti sway bars, big brake kit, and an aftermarket hood.

Jerry, if someone, hypothetically speaking of course, wanted to get an alleged chip that provided a flat A/F ratio such as you have obtained without said theoretical chip, which tuner do you imagine would supply it? And do you suppose it would have to be tuned on the dyno or just purchased off-the-shelf?

Thanks,
David

nice

nice numbers. I'm sure having the tuners put their hands on your truck could bump those numbers a few points and still be safe.
