Question slicks

I am going to track tonight, it is about 40 miles. I am considering mounting my slicks (Hoosier 28x10x16" before I leave work. I will only drive around 55 mph. What do ya'll think and what pressure should I run?

I wouldn't chance it. 40 miles seems a little too far for me. If you are comfortable with it go ahead.

If you can mount your slicks at work then you should be able to do the same thing at the track.

Keep in mind your slicks have thin sidewalls.

I wouldn't wouldn't take the chance, although I realize there are people who do run their slicks on the street.

Dont do it, the stock jack and lug wrench will work fine, whats 20 minutes of maybe harder work compared to a horrid result on driving on them?

Question slicks

My problem is not time, but I have nowhere to leave F1's and jack at the track. They would probably walk off.

bring a chain and a LOck and lock up your stock tires.

that is what I am doing this saturday..
Mich, Lightning club rented the track from 8-3.
So I;m confident they won't walk off.

I drive my 28x10 16" Hoosiers back and forth to the track.
It's pretty much 80% parkway, and 20% nice back roads
Door to Door in prob 35 minutes and about the same amout
of miles ?

The last three track days for me I was running @ 18-19 psi
If I remember correctly.
Although they've always hooked great, next time
I will try @15psi to see what happens

At 18/19 they look like F-1's with 35psi in them
