Alcohol injection mounting

Well, I had mine going into the boot from the MAF to the TB. Since the tip I use sprays straight out instead of a 90° angle towards the TB I decided to mount it after the TB in the upper plenum so that no alcohol water would hit the MAF. I tried to use the PSP nitous plate, but the TB plate when open blocked the top of the spray tip.
I am using a #10 SMC tip and 100% alcohol.
The hole I drilled in the plenum was 25/64ths.

Steve at SMC made me a 90 tip, but I thought it looked ugly...
The spray tip steve at SMC uses has a better spray pattern than a NOS tip.

More info please!!

How about a little more information on the Alcohol injection system that you are using? Is it a home built? A store built kit?
Why are you using 100% instead of a mixture, dos that give you better results?? What is you’re plenum cover with (an insulation spray of some sort)??
Any info you are willing to share would be great!

I polished my upper plenum and didn't have the patience to finish. I got pretty close, but didn't. I painted the upper plenum with some black VHT wrinkle finish paint. I used to look pretty good, but gets scratched pretty easy.

The alcohol injection kit is from SMC enterprises. He makes these kits for a lot of the turbo buick guys. I din't realize his shop is only a 30 minute drive from my work. So I called him a couple of weeks ago and asked if he could make me a kit. He already had a bunch of Lightning people call him and he was curious to know if it would work and where to mount it and so forth. I went to his shop a couple of days later and he made a kit for me. He made it so the pump and all fit inside of the windshield washer reservoir. I think it looks pretty trick. We then went testing. If anyone has read my posts before they know I couldn't get more than 13° of timing out of 20 psi boost and 93 octane. Well, we tested in 50 degree weather with 100% alcohol and I got no pinging that I could hear with the race side of JL's chip, 20 psi, and 93 octane. I was running 26 psi yesterday a few times on 93 octane...
Why SMC's kit? I liked it because it has a variable controller. You can adjust the amount of boost you want to have before the spray turns on. You can also adjust the pump speed. All this is done with by a small box which is cab mounted. Also the lines are all brass or SS. The spray nozzle is supposed to have a better spray pattern than a NOS nozzle.
I am using 100% alcohol plus a lubricant. I may switch to an alcohol mix because my air fuel is pretty low and I don't think I need the extra fuel.
This stuff really works and I only have to pay $10 for a gallon of the alcohol. Before I was paying $7.50 per gallon for C16. Since I don't have a fuel cell the C16 was pretty expensive after awhile.

You should look under the dash and in the cab.............I have never seen more wires and switches in my life.

It honestly looks like an airplane.
