I've got the Pioneer AVH-7500DVD, and I love it. It has all the bells and whistles, and has a nice screen to. I used to have a Alpine CVA-1000, one of the first flip-outs, and the Pioneer is a huge improvement.

You need to visit some of your local Car Audio shops and play with all the DVD units they have. Make sure you look at the Screen Quality, ease of use, and features. Some of the best brands in my price range were: Eclipse, Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, Clarion. Pioneer was the one I chose mostly because of the features, mainly DVD-A.
