Question Got Smoke???

Any of you guys experience this problem? When my truck sits more than 2 days and I go to start it I get a puff of smoke that is quickly gone and it is good for the rest of the day. Only seems to happen when it sits for any amount of time. I was thinking leaky valve seal or something like that. Any help and suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Have somebody try to see what color the smoke is....If it is blue, then it is oil and most likely a leaky valve seal, if it is black, then it is either a little carbon blowing out on start-up, or just rich(alot of fuel) on a cold start-up....Hope that helps...Either way, as long as it is not excessive, than it is prolly nothing to worry about....

I have had the same problem. It only occoures when the truck is cold and sits for multiple days. I don't have the problem in the summer, only in the winter. Yes the smoke is blue

My L used to do that, until I installed the REM oil separator. That seems to have cured it.
