silverstars

I'm pondering the idea of putting in silverstars on the truck.

9007st for the headlamps nad 9005's for the fogs.

my understanding is the 9005 isn't a "fog" light but an actual "high beam" bulb. Has this posed a problem for anyone? It would draw more wattage than a standard "fog" light. Anyone burning up wiring or plastic lens assemblies?

djc cobra,

I've been running both lamps for months without any issue. Great upgrade. Install with confidence!

I also have the 9005's in my foglamps, and haven't had any problems. Although sometimes I do get people who flash their highbeams at me......but no "problems" other than that.

I have been running them for about a year now and no problems. They are a good set of bulbs and they arent like that cheap euro junk that breaks after 3 months. Just be extremely careful when installing them and dont touch the bulb. The only thing I have noticed is that the enclosure around the fog bulb turns a golden brown after a while, but if you have an 03 you wont have that problem. Also when you take out the headlights to install the bulbs get a towel to cover the screws, so they wont scratch your paint when you set the fixture down on the bumper to install the bulb.
