hey guys, changed my fuel filter yesterday and when i took it out, i tried blowing into it and couldnt get any air through it! how bad was it, and should i have to worry about any damage to my engine if it was running to lean???

Consider yourself lucky as Big Rob mentioned. I change my fuel filter at every 3000 mile oil change now. Its cheap insurance.

 

thanks guys! Now i just need to find someone to help me with my plug change.

 

It is cheap insurance, people tell me that I change it to often, but it only takes 1 tank of bad gas to plug up our tiny fuel filters. To me it's better to be safe than sorry.

 

I did mine at 10K and didn't notice a difference. I'll keep doing them every 10K miles. 3K is being pretty **** IMO.

 

i guess for something that takes all of 10 minutes and no more then 15bucks its worth doing every oil change is the opinion I'm starting to get.

 

OUR FUEL FILTERS CAN ONLY FILTER OUT 5 MICRONS OF DIRT. THATS NOTHING.

 

did you learn that from REM???

 

I started using the filter from the Expedition/Navigator.

 

maybe you should change gas stations. This one is selling gas with a ton of dirt in it.
