Relocating radiator overfill reservoir....

I post about this yesterday and it appears to have been deleted.

I want to relocate my overfill reservoir so i can fabricate a custom intake using the driver's side head light socket.

I have a couple different ideas, but i've heard this reservoir is strategically placed. Is it true it has to be at a certain level or in a certain spot????

It has to be at the same hight as it is from the factory. If it isn't your heads won't get enough, or any coolant flow. Someone (I won't say who) relocated his resevoir and cracked the heads.

Mine is relocated for around 18K miles so far and I haven't cracked a cylinder head yet. I wonder how many miles I'll have to drive before that happens...
Mine is relocated to approximately where the power steering fuid reservoir stock location is. It is higher than the stock reservoir.
I did this because I have a 4" hose going from the left fog light to directly under the 14" air filter.

Question easter.

what did you use as an extention for the Rad-hose, because the hose going to the stock res- is pretty short. Thanks

The top of my reservoir is about the same height as the top of my upper intake plenum...The bottom of the reservoir is about where the top of the old reservoir was...

Do what ever you want putting it higher won't hurt anything.
