Talking gunna do some serious mods!!!

ok...after playing with the truck for a while..im ready to do some serious mods..My current mods consist of....

-diablo chip
-2lb upper
-Volant cold air intake
-Shift kit
...so here is the list and what i plan on doing....

-Electric fan kit (comes with 170 degree thermostat)
-Electric water pump
-Fuel Press. Regulator and Fule Rail
-Oil Breather Cap
-Silver Bullet cat-back
-long tube headers
-Eibach lowering springs
-JDM enginering banner for the front windshield
-NGK plugs
-taking the truck to Orlando to have the diablo tech. dyno tune the Diablo sport chip
-(possibly) 3:73 gears
-(possibly) removing the 2lb upper pulley, and going with a 4 lb lower pulley?
total costing me around 3,000....do you think this is a good setup? im going to be doing a real conservative tune...what should i do or not do to make this work??? i woudl appreciate it guys! thanks....

Leo, where in Orlando are you going for the tune? I'm no expert, but I don't see why you would need a new fuel rail or pressure regulator. I'm not sure I would run an electric water pump unless the truck is going to be raced more than streen driven.

Your greatest power booster is going to be the new pulley.

LeoGSVT.

If you are serious about the $3000, just buy a Kenne Bell.
Its a direct bolt on. My install took 2.5 hours, with a plug change.
Using a 3 inch upper and stock lower it dynoed at 426 HP and 496 TQ. Stock bench mark was 335 HP. "Kenne Bell", "works" for me!!

i had this dispute erlier when i wanted a lower pulley....what do you think the best pulley setup would be?? keep my 2;b upper and do a 4lb lower?? or put a stock upper on and do somethine like a 5 or 6lb lower?? i still want to get the headers and cat back for the sound...The lowering springs i coudl do with out....but if i cancell all of this other stuff and get a KB..i can just bolt it right on? nothing else done? no internals no re-worked heads? just the KB..do you think a KB is better than a bunch of smaller things?? im over the stock exhaust i want somethine mean..i though about the KB but decided to go with some other stuff instead for now..and work my way upto the KB...what do you think will be the best setup..i want some expert opinion before i do something i will regret...thanks guys

Well you'll have to fix your chip set up for one but as for that. Thats about it. Don't rely on me though, I'm only 17

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
on exhaust unless you get some highflow catalytic convertors.

the cats are the bottleneck of the exhaust.

without cats the ONLY thing you are doing is changing the tone of the exhaust.

Unless you just want a bunch of stuff to list in your mods, the KB or Magnacharger out of the box will produce more hp than all the boltons. The Magnacharger pros/cons are still somewhat nebulous, but it looks like it may emerge as the best bang for the buck for a stock block. The KB is already proving itself as a stout street/strip unit that still hasn't been maxed out. However, anything over 450 RWHP is getting really iffy without some rods, so the Magnacharger may hit the sweet spot with the low budget crowd that doesn't want to throw another $5K-$8K in the engine. It's rumoured to come in under $2K, so that leaves you some mod money for tuning and suspension build up. (And tires!)

Yeah, I say go with an aftermarket blower also. If I had to do it all over again, I would have started with the KB then added the other stuff. But that just wasn't an option 2yrs ago. Oh well. It has been a fun time modding the truck.

Oh yeah, how much HP is the windshield banner gonna add>??? Best of luck with the mods man. -Mat-

If you are considering adding a new supercharger some time down the road but want more power now, just wait until you can get the supercharger. There is no need in speeding the money on bolt ons to spend money on a new supercharger a year or two down the road that you won't use the same bolt ons for.
