One more mod before November...
Well there is an event coming up here in the northern va, maryland area. Its called world cup, its a drag racing event where the class's are imports vs. domestic. Its a very large drag race that i plan on entering the L into. My question to you all is, if you had around 400-500 dollars what would be your next mod, im looking for something that could help me in the quarter. My mods are listed below, i dont want to get slicks yet b/c a) no driveshaft loop, and b) i dont want to buy them at the end of the season i will get them next year. I have only had the L for a month so i dont have to much done to it yet. Any help would be great guys (and gals).
thanks
thanks
Doesn't look like you have it yet so I'll go with a factory tech valve body sine it will help your tranny run smoother and more efficiently throughout the racing day. But the electric fan and heat exchanger are good ideas as well and are on my list of things to do

If you're gonna be bracket racing, then I'd reccomend efficiency mods(E-fan, Phenolic spacer, Heat exchanger). These types of mods will help your truck to run more consistently, especially from round to round.
In reference to HP gains with the E-fan/Water pump, my truck picked up 15rwhp and 30 rwtq and 1-2 tenths and 2mph in the1/4. The E-fan is thermostatically controlled, comes on with the A/C and is also on a manual switch that can be activated while the truck is off (in the pit or staging lanes). The parasitic losses generated by the fan clutch are no longer dragging on the engine, which helps significantly. Just my .02.
Good Luck w/ your decision

P.S. Nitrous is an alternative, but in order to set it up RIGHT, it'd cost more than $500-$600(bottle warmer, brackets, pressure guage etc...) unless you can find a COMPLETE used kit.
