Battery Light coming on... please HELP!

My '02 L has some kinda battery/alternator problem. Battery light would come on for 10-20 seconds at a time and then go off, without any particular pattern. At the time I noticed the problem the only mods were Alpine stereo with Stereo amp (no subs or Sub Amp). It also didn't matter if the stereo was off or on, if the lights were off or on. Took it to the dealer, they replaced the alternator. That same evening the light came on again. Brought it back to the dealer, they kept it for four days... couldn't find anything wrong or verify the light coming on. Had it back for several days now and the light started coming on again. I now have the Alpine sub amp installed which shows the voltage. It jumps between 14.3 and 14.7 volts and when the battery light comes on it drops down to 12.2. Revving the engine has absolutely NO effect on the voltage output seems like it. Also, when the car is running, you can see the dome light flickering a little bit as well as dash lights and headlights... Anybody has any ideas? Thank you.

May have a dead cell in the battery. Most local Auto Parts stores will check your battery for free
