Angry ***** bugs around Houston

I had to drive back from Beaumont through H-town and back to Georgetown. The little black screw bugs (they fly around doing the nasty for you in other parts of the country) were so thick I could not see out the windshield! I just spent an hour trying to get them off my L. What is the secret to removing them?

When we went to south alabama to race a few week ago we ran into them. We kept hitting them and they would smudge the windshield then they finally splat on the front of the goosneck on the trailor. The fron of the trailor and the truck were black from bugs but they washed of in the rain on the way back.

1 gallon of gas and a match....

My Super Duty coming back from FFW is covered with the damn things. Glad I trailered my Lightning instead of driving it.

I will have the little critters removed tomorow when my detail guy comes by.

I first wash them off best I can with the hose. Let them sit a couple minutes, they seem to soften up. I spray some simple green on the bug areas and then some elbow grease. Make sure you get them all the way off because they have a lot of acid in them and will definitely eat the paint off.
This pic is only about 1 and a half hours of driving time. Really sucks. My truck is usually spotless. I have to wash everyday.

A pic when she's clean. I also heard that someone uses sprite and pantyhose to get them off. Never tried it though.
