3# pulley?

Hey, I've seen people with 3# and 5# pulleys on here, and I was wondering where yall get them from? from what I can tell the major vendors seem to only sell 2,4,and 6#

also, would yall go 3# without a chip? I hear 2# is ok, but what about 3?

thx

-Mike

Mike,

I've got an '03 like yours. It's my daily driver and only form of transportation so I have to make sure I don't do something to cause it harm, downtime for repairs, and unnecessary expenses. I ran the Johnny Lightning 3 pound lower without a hitch. I wasn't even close to stressing anything. Incidentally, I've removed it to install a 4 pounder. Let me know if you're interested in it.

Cool

JLP is the only one that I know. That's where I got my 5#.

You should be able to run a 3# without a chip if people are running a 4# without one.

Jakemarietta,

I have a 3 pound JL pulley and it's one piece. 3 bolts and you change it out. It's also a bit lighter than the interchangeable counterparts.

Don't mess with a 3#er. Go straight to a 4 or 5. Lots of my buds are using those w/o a chip w/o problems. 6# or above and get a chip.

I have a 4 and wish I had a 6.

I dont have any money for the chip(all the money go for gas. the gas price is high here in Aruba about $74 full tank and it last me for about 3-4 days) maybe i'll buy a chip after a few months
