That explains it all right there. Didn't realize those were only qualifying passes on saturday. Thanks for clearing things up.

I don't know if you realize it or not, but the JDM crew has been on the road since the beginning of the month when they left NJ September 3rd for the Cordova FFW. At this point, the road trip must be getting old, and they more than likely have lots of business to attend to when they get back. Like for other L owners who will be posting next week about not getting their parts, etc. I wouldn't blame them one bit if they decided to cut there tour short.
I attended four races this year where Jim and his crew helped me with my truck(Norwalk & Cordova FFW's, WFC6, and the Mod Motor Shootout). Many other Lightning and Cobra owners enjoyed the same expertise at these events.
I didn't go to these events expecting to win anything, but rather to enjoy the camaraderie afforded by hanging out with the JDM crew. And, I learned something at each event that helped improve my trucks performance, and my racing skills.
It is a shame that you did not take the opportunity to participate in the FFW when it came to your state. Double that if you did not attend Houston either. You really don't know what it is you missed. My $0.02

The main reason I made the trek to FFW was because I was wanting to see some low 11s, maybe even 10s passes.

P.S. I know there's a lot of competition out there and you didn't want to show your hand to the competitors.
I have been saying this same thing all summer. Makes me question if these trucks are really going that fast. Sal goes all out, and JDM is getting there. I would like to go and watch these trucks go all out and run HARD !!!

I would have went low 12's this past weekend at FFW, but I was running F1's. I best was a 12.68 @ 109.** with a 2.00 60ft.

I saw Shawn run Jim's truck to a 10.9* in the first round of TT.

It's obvious you know nothing about bracket racing. The fastest very seldom win in bracket racing. Only those who run consistent on their dial wins.

I was one of those 11 second trucks... and that's another story.

The JDM truck driven by Shaun from JDM ran a 10.80 something. Get 'N Go Paul Gamino ran low 11s. Leonard Watson's truck ran low 11s.

Several of us faster guys were put on the trailer in the very early rounds.

Remember this is a real race not test & tune and alot of money was involved.

Sue & I were invited to the Winners banquet Sunday night for the awards along with checks being handed out. Jody North the points winner for Tough Truck received from the Ford rep a catalog to choose any 2004 F150 equipped any way he wanted for being first it points. Jody won TT with a Harley Davidson running mid / high 13s. Runner up Charlie Crawford got the same deal except a 2 year lease.

Many thousands of dollars were awarded last night (Sunday).

Actually, its obvious you know nothing about bracket racing. The faster car has ALL the advantages. I race the B&M Million dollar series as well as the other BIG payout races (100k +) with my super comp dragster and super gas camaro, and the faster car almost always wins. I haven't seen an 8 or 9 second car win super pro in quite some time.

The slower car has the first chance to red light, and has to look backwards to drive the finish line. The faster car gets to have the race play out in front of them. You get the option to dump, run bumper to bumper, or put a wheel out on the other guy. As far as detuning for consistency...that just means you need to spend more time sorting out the chassis, suspension, and converter.

Of course I could be way off base here...

You're comparing apples and oranges here.

Cars that are 9 seconds or faster with all kinds of start line gadgets are hardly a good comparison. It's been proven time and again that a slow a$$ truck will run consistent ET's and MPH. All the driver has to do is cut a light everytime. He doesn't have to worry about traction or anything but that light. That is why they bumped up the ET requirement to keep it more even with the slower truck still having a very small advantage but nothing like before.

And it's now obvious you're wrong. I've won a bracket race before in my 97 Cobra. It's all about consistency.

Besides, that had nothing to do with this post. The reason I posted was that I expected to see some fast trucks this weekend running all out, not jamming on the breaks at 3/4 track. As posted before, I didn't realize that those passes I saw were only qualifying...seeing how all the other stuff I saw were actually elims. I'm suspecting you're just taking it out on me because you didn't win??
