went to start the truck today and noticed that everytime you turn the key on the computer resets it self. also the engine light is on now and the radio does not work.

any idea what could be wrong?

only thing I did was installed a e fan and water pump and truck ran fine for two days and now this.

This is just a guess, but it sounds like the fan is drawing ellectricity even when the truck is turned off. The computer reseting itself is a sign that the battery is dead, or allmost totally drained.

If you run it for a while and the battery charges is it OK??

 

I ran the truck for a little and thats when the engine light came on. its not running ruff or anything. shut the truck off and restart it and the gauge sweep like you dissconnected the computer.
would there be a fuse that would supply the computer with power when the ignition is off? Problem just started today and notice it because the radio turn on am station but now the radio does not work at all.

also It will not go into gear. Foot on the brake and fill like you have to broke the lever to pull it down.

 

never mind, I found the problem. the 50 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood, one of the taps pulled out from underneith it.

So if the gauges sweep , the radio does not work, it wont go in to gear, and the engine light comes on, that the fix.
