Do I go straight to the fuse box, then what? I really have issues with getting shocked. Yeah I know disconnect the battery, but that takes time. Anyhow if anyone can let me know thanks. BTW it is for a hands free system.

Well, you better unhook the battery . You most certainly won't be hurt from a very mild shock from a 12 volt system. However, you may let the smoke out of the wires if you don't unhook it. And yes, a fused 12 volt power source from the fuse box is acceptable.

Like Grimace basically stated, if you don't disconnect the battery your could fry something in the electrical system. That is basically the reason you will hear or read to disconnect the battery. If you get shocked it won't hurt you so there is no real danger there, but if you fry something like the computer it could cost a nice sum of money...

Thanks. I was just kidding about being shocked. Is there any clips that make it easy to tap a fuse and if there is where do you get them? Ratshack?

They might have something. What ever it is you want to make sure it snaps on and is nice and tight. If not it could vibrate loose and hit something in the fuse box and make for a real bad day...
