Got my ET streets

I got myself spme ET streets this past weekend and was curious about how to launch with them. I will be driving them to the track at 25 psi, and then lowering the pressure to maybe 16?? My truck has a 4# pulley, superchip, silver bullet, air force one, BaBolt TB and has run a best of 13.16 @ 106.5 w/ 60' of 2.1 (on F1's). The truck makes 391 RWHP with 472 lb ft of torque. How exactly does one launch with these?

Thanks

I don't have et streets, but I'd guess you take the rpm up to around 2000 or so depending upon the converter you have and then punch it when the light turns green. If you have the stock converter I think most owners stomp on the gas from regular idle, 6-700 rpm. If the track is poorly prepped you may need to ease onto the throttle and if you hook good you may be able to raise the tire pressure some.

Here is a launch at 2000 rpm that nets me a low 1.6 60 foot.

I run mine at 20-21 psi--'hot'--after driving to the track at 25 psi--'cold'. Drive around the water box and then back into it so your front tires don't get wet/drippy. Roll back out of the water and then do a burnout until both tires are smokin' and let off of the brake so the tires 'screech' forward.

Stage and then hold about 900 rpms--roll into the throttle--on the third amber not the green.

Remember, now that you are using slicks, you need a driveshaft loop. Traction 'rods', etc. are necessary too or you may break the driveshaft.

Sticky tires need

Traction bars unless you like the idea of catapulting your truck when your driveshaft breaks, I'm not kidding, John H.
