Just got my fluidyne today and it didn't come with any brackets or install instructions. Could someone please tell my if any brackets are needed and/or how to install this thing. I mean you got the two bolt holes at the top but is that all the fastens it in? Thanks!

 

Yes...It does not come with brackets... You use the stock 2, 10mm bolt holes you removed, drill them out a little and use supplied bolts to hold it on...It hold fine dont worry....I smacked a semi tire at 85 and ripped off everything else on my truck but the heat exchanger was still on and working...These are one tough puppy!

What did you pay for this? Also does it have holes in it to mount say a 4 lb crank pulley?

Mine didn't come with any bolts. What type did you get with yours? I'll have to get some at a local nut and bolt place.

Sorry I guess I should have been more specific, but if you haven't figured by now I'm talking about they're heat exchanger. I didn't realize made anything besides radiators and heat exchangers.

Pretty sure I used the fixings from the stock heat exchanger. It is only held in place from the top.
Here is a pic of mine. Is yours the same?

 

Yup, it's the same. So you just reused the stock bolts?

 

If yours came from JDM use the stock bolts. I didn't have to drill on mine.

I just drained the stock one, removed the two hoses and took the two stock bolts out.

I bolted the new heat exchanger in with the stock bolts, reconnected the hoses filled the tank with coolant.

Yup

 

Dont overtighten the bolts..just get them snug plus a 1/4 turn.

 

A friend of mine had one done across the border for $150, its a little taller than the stock one but almost twice as wide.
