Perfect day at the track...

I left work 2 hours early, I went home and put my slicks on, I put $15 of racing gas in my truck, (thats only like 4 gallons! do the math...) It was 68 degrees out. (the temperature I dream about racing in) When I was driving there, the SLICKS broke loose at 40 miles per hour! (The truck felt like a rapped ape!!!) I get there and I pay $10 to get in... I ask the lady for a run card and she says they've already reached their limit and aren't teching any more cars in... I was like, are you kidding me???
I guess it was a good thing, the staging lanes were packed 6 lanes wide and like 30-40 deep I swear! She said they teched in like 250 cars or so.... It was a perfect night for racing just 250 guys beat me to it! Tonight wasn't my night. It was the last day of the year the track wasn't going to be open for test and tune. (you'd think I'd know it was going to be busy...)
O well, tonight wasn't my night and it could have been worse right? Something could have broken on my truck, or I could have gotten hurt. I could be the sombrero on this guy...

Question

So how does that translate to a "perfect day at the track." I was expecting to read a post on a new best not one on how ya couldn't race. Hmmm... -Mat-

I know, and I wanted to come on here and post, New Best ET... I was so excited going to the track, everything was working out perfectly. Everything else was perfect except the fact that I coudln't run. It would have been a perfect day at the track if there were one-fourth as many people there... Maybe another day or another track...
