Question Cheepest place to by a Simpson Helmet

Hey guys
I have decided it is time to move up to a better helmet to protect my noggin.

I have been looking at the Simpson Bandit with the Nomex Lining. It looks like it is a awesome helmet and would protect me both in a crash and also if there was any fire.

The Simpson web site lists it for $394, and Sumitt sells it for the same price. Do you all know if anyplace sells it for less money.

If anyone has any other recomendation for a high quality race helmet, feel free to pass them allong. I have also looked at the Bell Helmets, but I like the looks of the Bandit, looks pritty cool. Also how is the fittment graph on Simpsons web page. I know go try one on.

My HJC has worked fine till now, but with the speeds I am traviling now, I feel it is time to improve my safety equipment.

Thanks
Don

Wow, you must have a small head, my Bandit w/Nomex cost me over $450..of course, I needed "custom size"...all that air in my head.

Oh, I got mine from "Komet Sales", a Kart supplier...check their price these days.

I want to go try some Simpsons out, but if you use their fitting chart it looks like I am a 7 3/8

If you were to get a Simpson which one do you think is the most comfotable.

Also would prob want it in Platinum

Let me know

Thanks
Don

edit

I just looked at the Voyagers you say you use. I think the Super Voyager might be a good option too.

the voyager has the best vision of all the helmets i have worn over my 10 years of racing. i have a voyager sidewinder right now that is white how it came. It has a air induction inlet and i have it wired for my radios. I would also stay away from painting a helmet because it tends to make the helmet heavy and uncomfortable to wear but you wouldt be wearing it as long as i do.

Thanks Injector Dude, I looked at Jegs none of the sale items were in my size

Late Model

Ya I only have a helmet on for a few minutes at the most. However if I get the Mustang I am looking at next week I may be doing some road racing next year. Even still I am sure it wouldn't be as long as you wear one.

Is the factory platinum any heavier. I like that color since it is fairly close to the L's color.

Just make DAMN sure that it is SA rated and not "M" rated.

I have a horror story for that one ... Have been tech'ed everywhere
with my HJC, and was "bounced" at the last event for
SVTOA because it was an "M" 2000 rating. Even Snell
states that the "M" is the BEST protected, but doesn't have
the NOMEX and isn't subjected to the "Repeated Roll Bar Impact"
test.

Any SA 95 rated helmet is passed at all events at this time.

They are available for $79.00 on the net.

Shame they can't update the specs to include the M2000 Snell
in acceptable category.
