As some know, my home track,

was going to to close soon, even before the end of the season.
Since it's also the ONLY track left in my area, it meant loosing
everything to me, I even stopped modding the L because of it.

The other day a Rumor surfaced that once again the deal was
off to build on the site, and instead it was bought out by a company called Pro Mod (or something ?) and would remain
a track. The rumor was, it would be rebuilt, the starting line reversed, and then re-opened. Man that would be awesome,
but I'm not holding my breath, however I wrote them and
asked, and although it's not the greatest answer,
it sure sounds promising for at least one more year of racing.


Rob,

I can only tell what I know. The track is open all
year as long as the temp is over 40. Right now, I
will say Saturday and Sunday are definite through the
end of the year. Only Sunday through January and
February. I was told by Gary a few weeks ago that
next year it will be open as a racetrack.

Anything else you may have heard is rumor.

I may have to start Moding again this winter
It's not a pretty track, they even took down the consession
stands and no longer offer Race Fuel, but I do get 1.8's
on F-1's, and 1.6/1.7's on Hoosiers so it's great for going
after my best ET's in the colder weather,
AND THAT WEATHER IS ALMOST HERE

Rob, don't listen to any rumors, either from the track themselves, or from "other" people who think they know. The track has been "closing this year" for 5 years now. And nobody ever knows the truth about what Gary really has going on.

But Ripping the consession building down this yr

Stop modding? You kidding me? How can you say that. Your one of the only other Zex men on here! How could ya do that? We need to see some 11's on spray, and if you don't do it soon, im gonna have to step up to the plate and do it in the FL weather!

Rob, we will have to meet there one of these weekends and bust out some side by side 11sec passes! That would be a blast. Are they NHRA or IHRA. Just curious what the roll bar rules are. How many runs can you usually get in>??? -Mat-

 

Mat thanks to all the regulations the town has thrown at them
over the course of decades, they lost both NHRA + IHRA
ANYTHING GOES I GUESS
It aint Fancy, but it does stick and give great ET'S
They only allow racing Fri Sat + Sun
Motors cant start til 1pm and they get shut down at 6pm
NO MATTER WHAT
On Saturdays it's Time Trials 1-6pm

Vinnie is coming out hopefully Sat Oct 11'th to Race,
of course we'll invite Gator, The Capt, Pawn, and anyone else
interested. If that date sticks, it would be the time for you to
come join in on the fun
Who knows, maybe we can even get Sal to bring the Beast,
he lives Local to the track too
