Hey ive been reading this board for awhile now and decided now will be a good time as ever to start posting...

ive started saving my money for a 2004 L and i was wondering has anybody heard anything about the 04 improvments over the 03 as in engine or the suspension or anything?

About a month ago the order sheet for the 04's was posted. According to it very little outside the colors have changed.

so its basically the same as the other year models... so i kinda know what to expect out of it performace wise from all the other posts ive read....

Not sure about that. I sent an email to a local dealer asking about it and if it is possible to order one.

Anyone know if you can order one, or do SVT dealers only get so many regardless?

 

I have a regular customer that works at a local SVT dealer and he told me that they only get a certain number per year and thats it. He's been there top salesman for 5 straight years so I'm pretty sure he would know. But I could be wrong.

 

So it is kind of the luck of the draw as far as when they get them and what colors they get? That sucks, I'd really love to have the sonic blue it looks sweet. They have an 03 sonic blue but I just don't have the cash I need at the moment.

Yeah, I just got the latest SVT Enthusiast magazine the other day and they said that the 04 Lightning is a carryover from 03.
The only change is they added Silver as a color option.
