Thumbs up The South Florida KB , Works Challenge

It has come to my attention that Paul "Bin Laden" Riccio at REM Motorsports claims to have the fastest Lightning in Florida and announced a challenge to many Lightning owners at Towershoppes last night.....when and "if" [my emphasis] his truck is ready he will pay all entry fees and $1000.00 cash at Moroso Motorsports Park to anyone who can beat him with KB or Eatoncharged powerplants verses his 112 Porterhouse ......I will be there to represent KB at its fullest potential .....I need to make back some of the money I lost due to the many mishaps that were performed on my motor which cost me more money to fix what should have been done right the first time...I get much more common courtesy and respect from animals than the latter....the Zoo Crew will also be there representing the fastest Lightnings in Florida.....all are welcome to witness this "historical - theatrical event" or to represent.....The Blower Wars will comence.....I heard all these big hp#s coming from Paul "Bin Ladens" lean chip files, but Christopher Columbus also heard that the Earth was flat.....just bring it to the track, thats my untampered dyno.....

Absolutely.....there will be an end put to this 140 , 112 cra*...and stuff....the KB will positively match the 140 , the hp #s will be negligible...but the price difference between the 140 and the KB wont.....lets see what an extra 1200.00 can buy in a Works 140.....Id even be more carefull to watch out for JDMs new Magnacharger.....

It will be good to see a concrete answer. Ive been looking through back threads about KB VS Works and all it is is a flame war. Not alot of info on the actual blowers. It would be nice to see KB VS Works VS Magnacharger, but the latter isnt out yet

Exactly....but the KB has proven itself allready....everyone else is going by speculative information on the 140.....the 140 looks good but does its performance match....who knows.....Sal would be the one who truly knows this answer....as far as the Magnacharger goes, for 1500 bucks you got a 112 works with the R&D one of the best tuners of our time, Jim D'Amore.........

Using your logic it seems to me the Works 112 is the one that has proven itself since it is on the world fastest Gen II, and has held the record for over a year now.

There are too many other variables to say that one blower will be better than the other merely by some drag race between two guys. It will however say one truck and driver is superior to the other on that day.

The 112 is incapable of making more than 450 rwhp, according to the research of reputable sources....the only way it may have a record is due to Nitrous.....the driver variable is immense...I would even use a dyno but not REMs....its too one sided and biased, not to mention tampered with....

I think we really cant compare the W112 to the KB due to the size diff. You have to go W140 VS KB. The W112 is the same size and the stock Eaton, and it is superior to it in every way. I really dont care about the W112 to KB results, I want to see the W140 to KB ones. That should prove once and for all who is the champ. I think if there were more W140s out in the field we would be having a different conversation. I mean its a new blower, and not alot of trucks are running it. Hell, Im not knocking either unit, I would love to own either one. I would just like to see which one is "better"

Well you will never see which one is "better" unless they are dyno tested back to back on the same truck. The bower is not the end all to going fast, as Sal's Works 112 proves.

Your race with Paul would only prove which of you two is quicker.

As for the Works 112 only being able to produce 450 HP look here: Dales Dyno SAE Corrected
