Get Low, for dummies

Can anyone please tell me the best way to lower a 2000 lighting. IS spindles the best way. I keep seeing that spindles is the best way to have it close to OEM. Please sure your set up, and how you like it, where to get it, and price

FRPP kit or (GroundForce), it uses like 1-1/2 drop springs and 2" shackles. Works great, looks good, handles better....

I got mine real cheap from www.truckperformance.com
Like $130 if i remember correctly

There is no simple answer. Most of the popular alternatives and some pros and cons can be answered here.

Alternatively, try the button at the top right of the screen. There is a wealth of information on this board.

p.s -- no one makes drop spindles for the F150, but some have reported rumors that BellTech is planning to introduce some in the next few months.

Is it true that drop spindles will decrease the turning radius? I say this because my friend has a s10 on spindles and now the turn i can make in one big turn, takes his 2 shots at it.

I suppose that if the part of the spindle which connects to the steering tie rods was longer than stock (i.e., farther away from the wheel center), you would get less wheel movement per inch of tie rod movement. But that would seem like an egregious design flaw.

At $140 for the truckperformance kit I'll get that at least for now! Any one happen to get their catalog and might have one of their discount codes? Hopefully I'll remember to take pics and post em' in my gallery like my speaker install one's. https://www.f150online.com/galleries...w.cfm?num=4326

Western Chasis 3" coil, and 4" shackle/hanger, Doetsch Tech shocks.... my front wheels DO NOT bow in like some peoples. You should invest in some camber plates as well from NAPA or ROUSH
I can clear parking curbs fine if your wondering, I have about an extra 1.5 inches over them usually...but you still have to use your judgement when parking.

Bell Tech Lowering kit 3/4 -Nitro-Active gas shocks, I think i have lower A-arms too, i bought the truck used so im not 100 percent sure.

Only complaint i have is steep *** driveways, or High curbs. besides that it looks awsome, oh, your payload capcity will drop a lot beacuse u are so much closer to the ground.
