I'm dusting off my G-Tech Pro today and remembered I need to know the weight of my truck to enter it in. I looked at the sticker on the door jamb of my truck and it said 5450lbs??? It can't be that heavy, with a fiberglass bed and only a standard cab?? The new Silverado SS is like 5200lbs. Please tell me the weight is wrong!!

 

I looked it up on Edmunds and this is what I got.

Curb Weight: 4670 lbs. Gross Weight: 5450 lbs

 

with an "average" driver (185lbs) and a full tank of gas, I believe the L weighs in right around 4900 to 5000 lbs.

I feel a little stupid, I was reading gross weight and not curb weight..........

 

Hey Sport Truck did a test of a 2000L in their Truck of the year test, and measured a curb weight of 4300lbs (they noted the advertised weight was 4670lbs). Not sure if the truck had a 1/4 tank of gas or something, but that's what they listed the weight as.

A good response would be from someone who weighed in their truck at the dragstrip (with a 1/2 tank of gas or so).

 

i weighed my truck at etown with me in it. No hitch, no cover adn it weighed 4760 exactly so..... right around there. add weight if you have a bed cover or 20s or other things like that.
