2001 Saleen with a KB.....?????

Anybody have any idea what a 2001 Convertible Saleen with a 6# KB would run? I have a guy at work telling me "just a week and then we'll run". He is supposedly putting one on his car. It is all stock other than the new blower coming. Thanks for any answers.

Id say the car is capable of low 13's, but with the 20 inch Saleen wheels, I say that unless he's a good driver he will spin those tires all over the place. Especially if he's never played with the low end tq of a KB. Even if the car is capable of beating you, it may only be with DR's or slicks....

My guess is you would bury him off the line and up to about 60 or so. But once he hits 80 or so, look out...he will be walking...

Just shut down at about 60 and you may be OK.

what does it run stock? Low 13's with a 6#er out of a kb... I wouldn't even bother. (not racing him, him getting the kb) Thanks Shane

Shane, low 13's with 6lbs TOTAL boost from the KB. Not 6lbs over stock boost.

Imagine what it would do with 12.

You may be correct, I didnt mean literally 20 inches-the point however is simply that the tires will be low profile and therefore lose the ability to grip as well under hard straight line acceleration. Saleen strong suit has many times been skewed towrds lateral handling, and therefor the bigger wheel/lower profile tire combo.
