I just think it is easy to be misunderstood on a message board.

Thumbs up

The only thing that makes sense to me, is Raoul's desire to become a "towelboy" or something

Most of the time I enjoy reading the post that end up getting closed. I do not enjoy reading the personal attacks. I do however want to hear about any legitimate problems with a vendor (these threads are closed to often when JDM is involved)! We need that info to help us make good decisions.

I do not like reading post where someone is insinuating they are going to punch someone in the mouth. I think that really crossed the line!

This whole thread is somewhat hypocritical -

Doug/Steve :

What happened to immediately moving threads that were OFF TOPIC from the Lightning forum? Isn't this one of them now?

...however repeatedly posting negative comments or intentionally driving threads off-topic with "dead-horse" issues will result in:

1) Warnings sent by email for a first offense.
2) Banning for a second offense.

No user will be banned without a discussion between Doug and myself after a review of a thread. If necessary, we will also consult the Supporting Vendor in question for their input. Posts that violate this policy (and subsequent "piling-on" posts) will be removed from the thread.
Isn't this issue a "dead-horse" ?

Honestly, I never try to stir up the pot. I'll post my opinions, my results, and kudos. I try to keep the negative comments to a minimum. But sometimes it's just annoying seeing the SAME bashing, name-calling, WHINING, and issues over and over again.

I get a LOT out of this forum. Been on it since right before I bought my L in 2001, and try to contribute CONSTRUCTIVELY as often as possible. I dont typically drop a

or

while waiting to see where a thread goes - I just sit back and shake my head.

Whatever. It'll never end. Sometimes it's humorous and I enjoy it. Sometimes I really feel for the vendors being "bashed" or questioned about their products. They're just trying to make a living like the rest of us. When they start reporting NON-FACTS, or lying about their products then we have cause to worry. But when a vendor doesn't post a dyno graph or HP/TQ gains fast enough for some, just wait. I'm sure someone will have the time to back up claims or give "bang for the buck" info. The vendors spend enough time trying to put stuff together for our whining a$$es - there's only so many hours in a day.

Flame on.

*EDIT* ...where's that d@mn spellcheck when you need it... *EDIT*

This is some funny crap. I don't post here much in fact I don't own a lightning but my Dad does. And I attend FFW here in Houston to support JDM. I do drive a 99 Expedition and it does have some of JDM mods on it. And yes I am friends with Jim, Julie, Shawn and Steph. I read about complaints about all of the tuners as well as alot of good stuff about the all of the tuners. To watch ya'll sit back and argue with each other about what you think you know or don't know about the L or the products that the tuners are coming out with is just annoying but at the same time funny. It reminds me of my kids. I don't think there is one person here who has had great customer service everytime you purchase something weather or not it is from Sears, Wal Mart or parts for you L. Remember these tuners have to do this work for a living and cannot sit at the computer all day to answer questions about new products or old products all the time and if they did then ya'll would b***ch about that also. There is alot of good info that comes from this forum and I enjoy sitting back a reading the posts daily. And I will continue to do so.(I am one that gets to sit in front of a computer all day) So lets just sit back ask the questions we need answered (don't expect and answer 2 minute after you post) give constructive critisism or advice when it is needed. And lets just all get along. Just my $.02

Out of all the forums on this site, this kind of crap seems to go on only in the Lightning forums. Why is this? Can't Lightning owners play nice like the rest of us?

If it wasn't for the people you label troublemakers, this site wouldn't be FUN, in fact it's posts by "troublemakers" that give this site some personality. While it may be a business to you, many of us work all day and enjoy laying back at night, a joke here and there or a shot at a tuner isn't the end of the world.

I'm sorry that you have to sort through countless emails, but last time I checked it was kind of in your job description, and last time I checked people have the right to post as they wish.

My vote says if you don't like it then leave, the "troublemakers" have been here the longest and often provide the best info.
