Can anyone help a brother out with a bolt?

I busted the head off one one the bolts that holds the coil pack in place. I got it out but I still need to replace the bolt and none of the Ford dealers around me have one. One parts guy told me to go to home depot. But me being the **** L owner that I am, I want and need the exact bolt that comes with the motor. Does anyone have one or know where I can get one? Id appreciate it. Thanks.

If it were me, I'd call your(MY) tuner and ask for a favor. I would expect them to have a spare, coil bolt laying around whereas, the average L owner won't.

If you need it asap, a local fastener supply store should have one.

Yeah seriously, buy the bolt from anywhere and just order the correct one. I am sure those horrible days you had to go thru with the wrong bolt in there will be a distant memory once you get the right one. Just playing with ya. I personally don't have one, but like was stated above I am sure a tuner has one lying around. Sorry about the breakage. -Mat-

What is nice about the stock bolts is they have a washer built into the head. The only aftermarket bolts I could find local were too long and had 8mm head and no washer built in.

Also incase you want to find something local

the bolt you need is a 5mm x .8 thread pitch x 27 mm.

ford part #
N606500-S8
Pkg of 2 bolts
Cost about $3.25

Ford uses the same bolts on just about every vehicle with a coil on plug setup. Can't tell me the dealer doesn't stock one? Any V6-V8 mod motor with C-o-P ingnition uses them.

You know if you lost it you actually could drive the truck without one. The cap should stay in place without it.

Am I the only one here that thinks
allan head bolts would make plug changing much easier
and faster
Especially that Mother Frucking Drivers side one that you
cant fit the socket on
