Built Engine

After running 12.2s for a year I decided to order some Denzo spark plugs, 6lb pulley, and a new intercooler...the problem is the stock spark plugs had metal chips stuck to them (JDM is helping me solve this problem). My question is about an engine swap. I've been thinking about getting a built shortblock with heads, cams, and a twin screw supercharger (hopefully the new one from JDM). What I'm really asking is whether the guys some of us in the Waco area use to work on our vehicles would be able to perform the swap. I've heard the cab of the truck must be removed to change an engine, or even do something as "simple" as change heads. I didn't know if there was a way around this...maybe raising the truck on a lift and taking the engine out from below? Any help would be great

If you dont mind m asking but if you just now got a 6lb pulley, plugs and abigger intercooler. WHat all did you have in the truck to run 12.2's because that sounds like a good route.

To answer your question....no...you do not have to remove the cab and further more you don't have to remove the hood either.
