Kenne Bell for your computer!

Lightning owners rejoice! Spy-bot is here. LOL

Seriously, I heard about this on the radio last week. I just downloaded it this morning and, after cleaning the spyware and adware off my hard-drive, everything is much faster. You guys would be amazed how much crap there is on your computer. Mine is only about 3 months old now, and was already starting to drag ***. I would recommend everybody using Spy-bot.

It's a nice program, but you have to run it almost daily as all this commercial crap that websites load on to your computer keep coming back. That and all the pop ups that keep materializing. Just when you download one program to take care of it, some other garbage shows up.

It has an immunize function as well. I usually don't bother with these things at all; but, it is very specific in what it goes after. It is also highly recommended by geeks.

The new(?) Google toolbar will block pop-ups too. Just added it yesterday. It has other options too.

I prefer Ad-aware for killing spyware. It's free and works great. I've been using it for months now.

I give it

Spy-Bot

I just finished downloading it and running it. I printed all the garbage it removed. Eight pages of tracking cookies later it is done!!! Is this an unusually high number?

You can use Mozzila and you can block pop ups inside the web browser. You could also just us Linux and not have to worry about virus or bogus registry entries or software being installed without you knowing.

I'd rather keep up on patches then have to dual boot between linux and windows. I have too many windows programs with no quality linux version available.

This program worked really quick and found a lot of stuff that I had no clue would be there (and I run scans every other day). It fixed the problems quickly, great program!
