Sounds good to me, but you will also want a chip for the 6# pulley.

I would wait on the throttle body. they are nice, but a lot of money for a little extra power.

I will wait on the pulley then i want to do the exhaust and chip it but dont want to have to do to many chip burns. I was going to wait to build up a few mods then put them all on at the same time. That way it will feel like a nice upgrade every few times.

Make sure the "cold air" kit actually draws cold air from the fenderwell or under the bumper.

Many people say that a 6 lb pulley should not be run without a chip. A 4 lb. pulley would be a better place to start anyway. If you get the Metco interchangeable pulley system, you can always get a bigger pulley later.

Single blade TB has a rather poor price/performance ratio until you start pulling massive airflow #'s.

Fan kit will only add maybe 10 peak rwHP, but it cleans up the engine compartment, quiets down the engine, and (assuming you get the Flex-a-Litel) will pull monster amounts of air.

Yes i was just about to ask about the 4# pulley. So i can start with that. The throttle body did seem kinda expensive but looks nice. My ultimate plan is to change the eaton and go with the KB but thats way down the road for me.

Well I wouldn't buy a Kenne Bell, but ultimately if I had to do it all over again, I would just buy the better supercharger. Otherwise I would do some cold plugs, a 4lb pulley, FTVB and deep tranny pan, K&N filter, e-fans, chip, 6lb lower, full exhaust, then a better blower. All in that order too.

Tim and Don, my sediments exactly! Sounds like a great start with your '03.

The only addition I will suggest is traction bars. They are rather inexpensive and well worth it, especially with that extra power you will be putting to the road.

Electric fan mod

Has anybody tried the Flex-a-lite dual fan setup for the F150's, there spec sheet states that it pulls 5,500 CFM and comes with the electronic T-Stat also states that the intercooler jug can be mounted back to it?

Lots of people have used the Flex-a-Lite 270. Do a search and read all of the posts. There are many issues not covered by the crappy instructions.

I have recently heard of some problems with the flex i lite fans. I don't remember what it was but it was not good. I don't drive a lightning but I do have a 5.4L Expedition. I have been running a JDM electric fan kit for over 70k miles with no problems. My dad runs one in his lightning with the JDM built motor with no problems. Just my $.02

It comes with a temp probe and the intercooler res fits right back on. You can also use the stock fan shroud. It's a very nice unit but mount the VSC unit next to the passenger side headlight to keep it away from the heat. JR

thanks Tim Skelton for letting me use my pic.....
