ROUSHified!

Well, the Roush kit is installed along with CalVu mirrors!

Feels about stock, a bit lower, but much more solid. The thing goes where u want it to.

When I get my new F1's and proper swaybar links, I'm sure it will handle like a charm!

Shouldn't it be lower?

toronto,

You should love the Roush! I have had mine for a couple months and would have to get it again if i got a new L.... I am going to get the adjusted sway bar end links soon once cash permits....

do ya want to sell your old mirrors? I would be interested if they don't shake at all....
Or maybe interested if only the driver side is a non-shaker

Perhaps because not all Lightning owners are drag racers, or something.

Toronto,

Looks good!!!

To me-- the roush is night and day compared to the stock suspension-- more responsive- more predictability -- absolutely better handling... not to mention it fills up the wheels wells very nicely without sacrificing usability. The front will scrape on only the most extreme angled driveways, but it will mostly clear every parking bump stop (or whatever you call them)

It is definately worth the money! Compared to stock-- the ride isn't worse but just "tighter" . I was expecting a bad ride since it was being lowered.

You will smile once it gets installed

I was expecting a) a really harsh ride, and b) more of a drop, however once I drove it for about 5 miles, I noticed a night and day difference in terms of 'feel'. The truck goes where you want it to, no drama, and it will warn you right before a spurt of oversteer. There is still body roll (albeit not as much as stock), but that will change once I get proper swaybar links. As was said above, the front end clears most moderate obstacles, and the rear has about 3.5" of travel from axle to frame. The kit itself was easy to install, straightforward, and precise. The components are quality. It was worth the 705 USD plus shipping. As for ride quality, it is better than stock. It doesn't want to hop and skip all over the place, and stays planted in turns. Off the line, the rear end has the same traction as stock.

P.S. I took out the shock insulators from the front coils, which contributed to more drop and more road feel. This removal is optional.

I would have liked more drop, but nothing in life is perfect

This is probably one of the best all around drop kits!

I just changed my setup with only Roush springs and Doetsch Tech Shocks in front & rear and wow what a difference from the stockers. The only problem I have is the JLP front air scoop under the front bumper is scraping the ground on my driveway and some sidewalks.

Looks great! I really have to get those new style headlights, it really brightens up the front end. What kind of wax are you using on that thing, it shines like a ****....

Nice suspension and nice looking truck! But I am sorry those mirrors need to go. No offense or anything but they don't belong in my opinion. Just never been a fan of the small mirror on big truck thing. I like the stockers a lot! -Mat-
