installing 01 tail lights

I'm sure this topic has been brought up numerous times.

What do I need to do in order to install 01 tail lights on my 00 successfully? What I mean is "No dimples"
Do I use shorter screws? Cut existing screws? or add washers?

Any info will be greatly appricated.

Thanks,

Buy New Screws

Ron,
I suggest going to Ford an getting the proper screws from them. I bought my tail lights (which already had the holes) because I got them in a package deal with the head and corner lights. I am planning on getting some new tail lights and I will get the proper screws from Ford. I installed the lights on my SuperCrew. I think the SuperCrew tail light screws where actually bigger in diameter and in length.
