I have one. I have about the same amount of belt dust on the engine as I did before the reichard. It looks cool and weighs about 1/2 or less what the KB pulley weighs.

I have seen/been told about a few guys with Cobras breaking belts with the Reichard Racing pulleys. I have not been told/seen any Lightning/Harley guys breaking them. I am currently runnning the 2.75 upper (Eaton) and 8# lower and the Gaterback belt with no problems. I see more boost than I did with the 2.7 and the 8# lower.

We have them in stock and ready to ship for the KB guys and also the Eatons. Also working some new upper pulley pullers that will be easy to use and a little cheaper than what is offered now.

I am running a 6lb lower 3" reichard racing upper. I have broke the tensioner **** off and am running the same s/c belt the truck came with when it was new. It shows 20psi boost at 5500 shift. I shredded a gatorback belt with a 6lb lower and 2.5" upper and a #4080680 (68") gatorback belt.

My friend is running a RR pulley on his KB Cobra and was shredding 1 belt per pass at T&T a few weeks ago. His whole friggin engine compartment was covered in black belt dust.

He brought 6 Gatorback belts to the track......made 5 passes and saved 1 for the drive home.

Ok so the Gaterback belts are breaking at larger boost levels. If running larger boost I would use a Gates belt as it does not have the grooves like the Gaterback belt.

Would I be okay if I have a 6# lower and a gatorback? The upper pulley is stock.

I have many people running the 6# lower and down to the 2.75 upper without a problem.

That 2.5" wasn't a reichard racing pulley. It was a standard KB metal one. Just wanted to clarify.

I wish they would make those pulleys for the Works guys. Isn't someone coming out with a pulley like that but with a spinner?

Reichard could custom make you a pulley. I'm not sure if he could make a spinner one...maybe check out a ghetto near you.

I'm running a RR (2.90) upper and a 6lb lower. I use a NAPA belt and have not had any issues with it. I have a few thousand miles, 5k on it so fall and no signs of wear. This does include track time also. 4080690 belt #.

Later,
Steve
