Exclamation KB 2000 Lightning for $18800

Local dude traded his KB lightning for a Mach 1. I just found out what the dealer was asking for his trade. $18,800.
It has 4.10 gears also.

Wish I had some extra cash.

Mods Dont Pay

Mods add 0 to resale value unless you're selling private party to someone 'in the know'. I had a dealer quote me 13K trade-in on my truck. Big brakes, built motor, 20" rims, all the goodies added nothing.
Edmunds says my '99 (81K miles) is worth 19K private party but only 15K dealer trade-in.

Guess I'm keeping it

Many do not know trade-in value is not

even wholesale, but ACV (Actual Cash Value) a number the dealer doesn't want customer to know! One way or the other you always get ripped whether you trade a modded vehicle or not. Guess it's a good idea to save stock parts, if possible, so mods can be sold. If logistics can be managed, always better to sell car on your own than trade. I always do,but I have second car to drive to make process easier.

A while ago, I was thinking about selling mine to buy an 03 Cobra. I'd want over twice that for my truck! Although my truck and mods add up to well over $50k and it only has a few thousand miles. You're right though, you have to find a enthusiast who know's what the mods are worth.
