Problem accelerating

Recently on a long trip I noticed a problem when accelerating at a moderate pace(2500+ rpm) with OD on. I'll try to describe it the best I can... with the pedal about half way down and the tach revving up there is some hesitation and a thumping(?) noise/vibration in the cab. Its not a fast vibration but more like running over seams in concrete. I've only noticed this at highway speeds of greater then 55-60 mph and only when speeding up. Now this does not seem to happen with OD off, although with higher rpms I may not just be hearing it anymore?

Transmission issue here? Its driving me crazy.

Any help would be great as I only have an extended powertrain warrentee

If you are still under warranty, I'd pull the mods you have and take it to the dealer. Sounds like your convertor or tranny could be acting up.

iF not converter or tranny locking up fuel filter or fuel pump? 99/00s had problems with the fuel pumps and that can cause a rough ride especially on the hwy...I've also heard a bad coil pack can cause a bumpy ride also...You have low milage though so who knows.. I'd let the dealer figure it out though... Good luck

Just got the diagnosis from the dealer... Its a bad #6 coil pack. They want $209 just to install it along with another spark plug I think I'm better off doing it myself! I need new plugs anyways. So much for hoping it was my transmission!
