You guys dont have a local track out here? Wow, that sucks.

We got 4, all of which are about an hour away from me.

1 is an 1/8th mile, the other 3 are a 1/4.

 

All my tracks are over 2hrs and to get to a good one it is like 4hrs. I am just gonna buy some land and build my own track. Screw planning and zoning!!!!!!!!!!! Also screw all the pussies that ever complained about a track and got it shut down! You suck! -Mat-

 

So Fla. where is your closest track? I should hope not Moroso...

yeah i think to all south florida moroso is the nearest i dont think its the best but its all we have i live not even 30 mins from moroso

The only problem i see is the County itself most likely will not fund the strip or even donate the land. At all causes, they will probably have some sort of lease for the land, but then someone will have to build the strip. If the property is prime, i doubt it will happen.

Residents always complain about noise. They will also complain that racing occurs when people are going to and leaving the track.

Its too bad people are dying from Street Racing, but lack of common sense from these involved is the cause.

California now has the most ivasive laws on street racing. If you get popped, kiss your ride goodbye and enjoy that 180 days in the pokey. Your car will then be auctioned off and your license will be gone as well. Its just not worth it. We can always complain about the lack of dragstrips, but with today's population and politics, its just too difficult to get them built, let alone funded.

Fontana Ca was successful at getting it built. Kickass track, crappy location.

 

im in Miami also. Moroso is about 1 hour drive from here. too far for 3 passes IMO.

 

yep, and it gets PACKED! everyone from miami up past wesst palm goes to moroso, thats why people want another track to be built.
