A guy in a C5 was laughing and pointing at me...

So I was in the middle of moving into a new house. I had the L loaded up with a bunch of boxes and my girlfriend following me in her Escape (also loaded up). She's following to make sure nothing comes flying out. I'm just minding my own business putting along at like 65 mph on 287 and this jerk in a red C5 Vette pulls up next to me with his G and starts laughing and pointing at me. I guess he was prolly laughing that I was loaded to the gills and told his G to watch him wreck this truck. I guess he didn't think I would get pissed off enough to race him--->wrong. At 65 mph it downshifted and took off like a bat outta hell. The weather was nice, low 70's. Well, I wound up killiing this Vette and my girlfriend was all pissed off that I did it (for leaving her behind and taking a chance with all of the things I had loaded up), but of course she understood that I'll never grow up when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I just would like to have been there when this guy explained to his G how a big lunky truck loaded with a bunch of boxes just killed him.

I also got 300 miles out of a tank of gas first time ever...it got like 14 mpg WOW!

I did the same to some guy with my big yellow banana (kayak) hanging out the back along with the lawn chairs and picnic baskets too.

That's worth the price of admission isn't it?

Oh and I just got 15.9mpg at a steady 80 mph on a trip!

I was thinking I'd do exactly the same thing every time! Then I remembered bringing home my new 65" HDtv..... Hmmmm....I guess there are some things that really could hold me back.

That's cool....The dude and his g didn't know what that big lunky truck was capable of......I had a guy 2 days ago in a Yukon...pronounced yuck-in, roll past me in the other direction and rev it...So I gladly motioned him to turn around and come get some...And he did... So he gets next to me,at about a 20 mph roll, I had both my windows down and I motion him to give him the break...He goes, I stomp on it, and having a few hundred pounds of tools in the back, almost instantly grab traction and put 5-6 lenghts on him in the blink of an eye.....When are these guys going to understand that it will take a lot for a yuck-in to step off a midly modified L.........Prolly never......

Yeah...that C5 guy pissed me off...

That's funny Mike. Hey, here's a picture of your L and mine at Atco, the night when I had to fill my front tire before every pass.

One night i had a 10ft ultility trailor behind my truck with my legend car on it and a late model motor in the back of the truck. This guy pulls up next to me at a redlight in a ss camaro and star reving up. Light went green and i pulled him by a car length real quick then i let out at about 45 while i was still ahead and safe. My trucks not stock though.

You don't own an L, do you? Drive one with a lightly loaded trailer behind it, or with a few hundred pounds in the bed, or both. Then come back with your "BS" comments.
