Unhappy Traded the Lightning in.

Well i did it, traded the Lightning in on a new Infiniti G35 Coupe with a 6 speed. I wanted to stick with ford but i just did not want to get into a current cobra and really wanted a 6 speed and pretty quick car. The G35 was the answer for me.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help i got from this forum and i will still be around to answer questions and help people out.

I will definately be back at ford once the next generation high performance cars are out.

Best of Luck with the new ride Black
Once a L Brother, Always a L Brother

I hear you on the waiting part, as much as I want a new Cobra,
when I bought one in 98/99 I insisted on an older style and got a 96 Lazer Red Convert (I was never in Love with this style either)
No offence everyone with one, I love the S/C Cobra's
, just not like the 96 style body.

I belive the next Gen of Mustang + L's
will be the Schitt. I think I'll wait myself

(unless I figure a way to a Z06 before that)
I was soooooooo close last weekend............

I love the G35 coupe! (But not the sedan.) It was one of the cars I was considering when I bought my '03 L in May. It's a shame you got rid of the L, but IMHO the G35 is a great choice.

It's just a phase I'm going through
I still owe well over 4yrs in payments so I don't see it going anywhere quick.
Besides it's the best thing I've ever owned (and I've owned)

But I'm soooooooooo afraid something BIG is gonna break
and then I'm out 10k that can never be re-claimed
Cause if it Breaks, we must rebuild BIGGER and BETTER

Fear not though, Soon the Thrill and Mod fever will be back
V and Teri promised to come out and make some passes
with they're New Built Motor and KB in a month or two on my Crappy little Home Town Track before they call it quits FOREVER (YES FOREVER) What good is owning a L if I can't race it no more. Should I go out with a bang and push my Juice jets to 100 HP for the ocassion ?

Being a Single Dad, I don't have to luxury, money, or time
to drive out of State just to make (2) 11 Second passes on the weekend. I can't imagine not having a track in NY STATE
(or at least in my part of it) but soon that will be a reality and thanks to bribes, crooked polititions and stuck up snobs that don't like noise, we'll never ever get another one here in NY

A part of me is gonna die when they close that track.

I would have gotten the cobra, but i really didnt feel like driving a car with an interior that has been around for long time. Also safety wise i rather be in a newly redesigned car, with all new safety features. I love the cobra but i much rather wait for the redesign to come and see what it has to offer. I like the new mustang alot.

Safety wise you should have kept the Lightning. When an excursion goes out of control and rear ends you you probably would have better off in a truck than that dinky little thing.
