PVO SRT-10/Motor Trend Article
PVO SRT-10/Motor Trend Article
Just grabbed the Sept Motor Trend issue which has a shallow comparo between the new generation L and the Viper powered Dodge "supertruck." I say the article is shallow because there is no direct performance testing to date on the new Dodge rig, but there are references to Dodge brass quoting 13.8 quarter mile times (the article mentions that is the same 1/4 mile time result on the 03 Lightning they tested) and 0-60 times in the 5.2 second range. Another sidebar here is that the article makes mention of the fact that Ford quoted 0-60 times to be .6 seconds slower on the '03 Lightning than Motor trends actual test results, so with proper testing the SRT-10 may be considerably quicker than what Dodge is actually saying. The bottom line on the HP/Torque is 505/525 and pricing will be 40-45k with 2500-3000 units produced per year. Id be pretty pissed to spen another 15k on a truck with the same performance as the Lightning IMHO. This may be old news to some, but I just wanted to share.

IMHO of course.

The V-10 is the only option to move that pig. If it takes them 500hp to move that thing into the 13 second zone, thats pathetic, seeing as it well be lighter then the current Lightning.
Cant wait to meet up with one.
