Pulley???
I am looking at getting a 4# pulley for the truck. I have looked at most of the vendors sites and they all seem to be close to the same price. My question is, are the different vendors pullies that much different in make and material or do you just pick a vendor you would feel comfortable with and buy? I know there is caged and uncaged, but as far as quality and material are they pretty much all the same? Not trying to start any vendor bashing here, just looking for some help and advice. Thanks for any response.

Only one vendor uses a caged design. There have been issues with removal once installed.

Nightrider,
I bought my lower from JLP, love it. And the upper came directly from KB, but that has since been replaced with a Reichard Racing pulley and believe it or not I gained 1.5 to 2 pounds, due to "no more slipping" - gotta love that.
There are some arguements out there that say the Reichard's eat up our belts - I keep an extra one on hand just in case.
I have a 6lb lower, 9.25 and a 2lb upper 3.20.
Good Luck!

The difference you may find between vendors is the belt they recommend. 67 to 68" Goodyear Gatorback depending where you go. I run the 68 and it is fine. No slippage.
Second, some will supply you with the install tools. One is the 14mm hex bit socket needed to get the stock pulley off. If you don't get it, it can be purchased in a 3 pack at Autozone for $8.
The second is a torque converter "strap". You can use a 15mm box end wrench or combo wrench instead of the strap.
BTW, I got mine from Troyerperformance.com and am very pleased.
