Question Anybody know 2001 GT HP#'s....

I have a buddy who just got a 01' Mustang GT but isn't sure of the horsepower #'s. I have asked on a few stang sites but they wont answer so I thought I'd see if any of you guys might know. Thanks for any info.

Yep 260 HP. Also, i saw an 03 GT vs a 03 V6 Altima, both where stick, the altima beat it in the 1/8, sad i think.

Sad car actually, i think i read that the altima has a quicker 0-60 than the GT stang, but i dont feel like looking that up right now, kinda late, but im 75 percent sure of that.

Sad driver. Stang GT can do 0-60 in under 6 seconds, an altima gets mid 6's.

LOW, Sorry I couldn't resist. I have a buddy that has done nitrous, gears, chip, ehxaust, all kinds of mods and is still not at all satisfied with the power. He can't trade it in because there is no value either, doh!

Hey just to let you guys know, Car and Driver tested the 5spd V-6 Altima back in their February '03 issue:
0-60 5.9s
1/4 14.6s
Top speed 140mph

A 5spd Mustang GT with an average driver could take an Altima anyday. The Altima is also FWD, and standing start launches produce a lot of wheelspin.

The only way an Altima could beat a Mustang GT, is if the 'stang was an auto.
