Ned advice-- S/C leaking-- okay to disconnect and drive 300 miles?

Well i went on a trip from las vegas to San diego. To cut the story short the S/c is leaking oil from the snout and there is enough oil that is has almost run down to reach where the snout mounts to the body... all the ford service departments are closed till tuesday and i have to be back in town monday night-- So will it run right for 300 miles with the blower belt disconnected? If it won't-- i will have to fly back or tow it back with a uhaul.....

Thanks

I agree with ****. These engines run on vacum every day. It will probably be a pig, but you can drive it. At least you wont have to worry about detonation. Just be easy on the throttle, untill you are up to cruising speed. Drive it like you are trying to keep it out of boost (which it obviously wont go into without a belt) but you get the picture. It is probably going to eat way more gas than normal if you leadfoot it.
