Johnny Lightning!...Quick Question

Hey man,

It's me...Rob down in Texas. I got the KB and Chip installed today! I plan on taking it to the dyno tomorrow. I just had a couple ??? in refernce to the tune.

1. At what RPM does the rev limiter kick in? I ask this because I kicked her down from 60 mph and she was PULLIN HER A$$ OFF! until she bounced off the rev limiter(in 2nd gear)...scared the ***** out of me! Note to self: NO MORE KICK DOWNS FROM 60mph
2. We left the 4# (8.75")lower in place and the 3.5" upper, she is making right at 14psi at 5000rpm...Is this O.K. on the stock block or should I back 'er down to 12psi?
3. On the dyno tomorrow...what range of A/F would you expect out of this chip at 12psi..& 14psi?(Check my sig for mods)

BTW this thing pulls like a f@#!%*&* FREIGHT TRAIN! , especially up top...HOLY S__T! Thanks for your help.

Have a Good Labor Day Weekend ,
Rob

Since the questions are very specific to your chip and your tune they would likely be better addressed in email or on the phone
They wouldnt have any value to the rest of the members

Sorry guys, I'm new to this computer stuff and didn't realize I was asking anything that would've required any sensitive info to be revealed. I just wanted to get his attention before I go dyno tomorrow. I'll go back and e-mail him. Doug, just delete the thread... my bad.

Thanks,
Rob

rob - its not sensitive.. No worries. just a friendly heads up

We just don't want 30,000 members asking 30,000 specific questions..

Some of these type questions are general enough to perhaps help other members....

This one doesn't appear to be.. But I'm pretty sure someone will accuse me of bias if I leave it open so I will...

The reason is at the top of every new post while you are filling out the form

Disregard the rules and the reason he cant get help is the ONLY one who can help is Johnny. The best, quickest direct way to get those answers is email or phone call.

I don't see anyone saying that he "can't" get help. The help he needs has to come from JL himself. Nobody else on this board is gonna know what JL put on that chip. Do you always go out looking for an arguement man>???

I see one question that can be answered. "Is 14PSI safe on a stock block>???" My answer is yes, just make sure you have a safe tune. Good A/F and not a boat load of timing. Be careful with those kickdowns too. -Mat-
